A Fragrance of Longing

I can still smell your fragrance in the room,
Although you have long left, it lingers like a bloom.
Each day, as you step out the door, I sigh,
Feeling the absence, as time goes by.

Your laughter echoes in the halls,
Leaving behind memories like painted walls.
In every corner, I find traces of you,
A silent reminder of love so true.

As evening falls, and the shadows creep,
I yearn for the moments when you're asleep.
The quiet of the night magnifies the ache,
Longing for your touch, each breath I take.

Though age may mark the passing years,
My desire for you never disappears.
With each passing day, it only grows,
Like a river that endlessly flows.

For you, my dear, are the light of my life,
In your absence, there's only strife.
So, until you return tonight by my side,
I'll cherish the memories, where love resides.
